Meet Our Butchers
Steve has been in the butchery trade for over 40 years and is considered to be a Master Butcher. Working across a wide range of butchers shops across London, Surrey and Sussex, Steve has a wealth of experience and enjoys passing his knowledge on to the next generation of butchers. He also prides himself in sourcing quality meats, as local as possible, so we can give our customers the finest produce available. In his spare time, Steve enjoys going to car shows, fishing, and visiting the occasional beer garden.
Sam is one of the youngest butchers at the shop, however that certainly doesnt hold him back! Sam joined his family business back in 2017 following a spell at University in London studying Business. Sam enjoys getting to know our customers by name and branching out to new opportunities for the shop. This icludes our work with Woking Football Club, who Sam is a big supporter of.
Yes, another Sam! Sam Pidduck has been with us since 2015 and began his butchery career at a small farm shop on the other side of Reading. Sam is a fantastic member of the team and is also a good cook! If you're after cooking instructions, then he's your man. Since being with us, Sam has worked his way up to the managers position at the shop, and takes on the day to day running of the shop. His hobbies include running a miniture railway.
Richard aka Vinnie, is a well known face in the butchery trade, along with Steve, having been in the meat trade for over 40 years. Richard has worked in many roles in the industry and this allows him to bring a wealth of knowledge to the shop. He is a big Leeds United fan, and likes telling a joke (or 12) to our customers, so enjoy!
Jamie has been with us for nearly 4 years, and is a very important member of the team. He began washing up after school and has managed to work his way up to now being a full time butcher. He is young and enthusiastic, and loves the work place banter with the other boys.
Harvey is our youngest and newest members of staff, having joined us on a full time basis in January 2021. He started helping us out last summer during the pandemic as his dad (Richard) also works here. Since then, he has been working odd days, but has a real taste for the job and is showing great promise. Steve saw potential in Harvey, and decided the shop would benefit from him being a full time employee.
